@ Suren Manvelyan – Your beautiful eyes

Suren was born in Yerevan in 1976. He received PhD in Theoretical Physics from Yerevan State University in 2001 for researches in the field of Quantum Chaos. Next year he received The President Award of Republic of Armenia for the investigations in the field of quantum technologies. He is scientific researcher in the Institute for Physical Research of National Academy of Sciences since 1997.

Suren played 5 musical instruments: guitar, cello, piano, block flute, and lyre. He teaches physics, mathematics and astronomy in Yerevan Waldorf School for more than 10 years. Continue reading

@ Carne Griffiths – Portraits in Ink and Tea

Carne Griffiths’ artwork is born from a love of drawing and the journey of creating an image on the page. Working primarily with calligraphy ink, graphite and liquids, such as tea brandy, vodka and whisky he draws and then manipulates the drawn line. After graduating from Maidstone college of art Carne served an apprenticeship and worked as a gold wire embroidery designer for 12 years, hence floral pattern, repetition and flow play a large part in his work. I have been asked by a book publisher to write few pages to explain to teenagers how to practice graffiti. After hours and hours I came to the conclusion there was nothing to teach about it except providing the tool to do it. The new generation needs to discover it by practising it
